Off-duty SAPD officer charged with DWI following crash in Alamo Ranch

BEXAR COUNTY, Texas – An off-duty San Antonio police officer is charged with driving while intoxicated (DWI) after he crashed into a home’s front yard earlier this month in west Bexar County.

David McCall was booked into the Bexar County Adult Detention Center after turning himself in Thursday morning, San Antonio police said. He was released on bond, just before 11:30 a.m., according to county jail records.

A toxicology report showed David McCall’s blood alcohol concentration of 0.238, according to an arrest warrant. The .238 is nearly three times more than the legal limit to drive in Texas (.08)…
