Motorcycle hits, kills pedestrian not using crosswalk, says SAPD; no criminal charge expected

A motorcycle struck and killed a pedestrian who attempted to cross the street without a marked crosswalk Sunday night on the South Side, according to San Antonio police.

About 8:30 p.m. Sunday, the pedestrian tried to cross from east to west in the 3800 block of S. Presa St. when he was hit by a motorcycle traveling northbound, according to a preliminary report from the San Antonio Police Department.
