Suspect flees on foot after crashing stolen vehicle during high-speed chase on Highway 90

SAN ANTONIO — Authorities are searching for a suspect who led deputies on a chase in a stolen vehicle on Thursday resulting in a crash along Highway 90, according to the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office.

The incident began after a deputy made contact with an unoccupied stolen vehicle near Rye Pond and Homestead Way. Deputies called for a tow truck and while they were waiting, an unidentified suspect jumped into the vehicle and drove off.

Deputies pursued the suspect vehicle, which later crashed into a guardrail along the eastbound lanes of Highway 90 West. The suspect immediately got out of the vehicle and fled on foot. No other injuries were reported…
