San Antonio resident wins $1 million in Powerball, falls one number short of jackpot

AUSTIN – A San Antonio resident has quietly joined the ranks of Texas lottery winners, claiming a Powerball prize worth just over $1 million from the Aug. 18 drawing.

The ticket, purchased at an H-E-B grocery store on Bulverde Road, matched all five white ball numbers — 15, 46, 61, 63 and 64 — falling just one number short of the jackpot. The ticket missed only the red Powerball, which was 1. In addition to the $1,000,000 second-tier prize, the ticket also carried a modest $4 win.

The winner, who has chosen to remain anonymous, accepted the prize last week, according to the Texas Lottery Commission…
