In Bexar County’s slim spending plan for next year, the Sheriff’s Office is one of the few exceptions — it’s set to get a major funding boost.
The proposed county budget, released two weeks ago, gives Sheriff Javier Salazar’s office enough money to add more than 100 new positions. And Salazar on Tuesday asked the five-member Commissioners Court for even more.
