A slight cold front will bring a string of storms to the San Antonio area over the next several days, according to the National Weather Service (NWS). With a cooler season just around the corner, folks can expect gloomy weather moving into the region to start setting the fall mood.
Folks have a few more days of sun before the rain settles in. The agency’s forecast discussion says the triple-digit, hotter weather will last though Saturday, August 30, when a 30 percent chance for showers creeps in.
Before then, locals can expect highs around 102 to 105 degrees, a spokesperson for the NWS Austin/San Antonio office tells MySA. But don’t fret, a switch in our luck hits over the weekend. The highest chance for showers comes on Sunday, August 31, when the front begins to work its way into the region.
