San Antonio man gets 20 years for attacking woman in New Braunfels

A San Antonio man has been sentenced to 20 years in prison for a violent attack on a woman, in which he choked the victim and held her head underwater in a New Braunfels creek, Comal County officials say.

Sean Castrejana, 54, was convicted in May on one count of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and one count of assault-family violence by impeding breath or circulation, according to the Comal County District Attorney’s Office.

Judge Stephanie Bascon sentenced Castrejana to 20 years on the aggravated assault charge and 10 years on the assault charge. Each term will be served at the same time…
