Priscilla Castro, 27, a former assistant teacher at KIPP University Prep High School in San Antonio, has been charged with indecency with a child. Police said the incident happened on May 23 during school hours and involved a 15-year-old student. The student told investigators that Castro hugged her and tried to make further contact. The affidavit states that Castro later contacted the student using blocked phone numbers and asked if the student would report her. She was booked into the Bexar County Adult Detention Center, according to KSAT.
After being informed of the incident, KIPP Texas Public Schools told KSAT, “At KIPP Texas Public Schools the safety of our students is our top priority.
