Driver ran over 75-year-old pedestrian, left her to die, say San Antonio police. Now she’s in jail.

A driver fled the scene after her vehicle struck and killed a woman in a gas station parking lot this week on the Northwest Side, police said, and she was arrested Thursday.

Theresa McCormick, 52, drove into a 75-year-old pedestrian about 12:40 a.m. Sunday in the 2300 block of Babcock Road, according to the San Antonio Police Department. McCormick has been charged with a collision involving the death of Cynthia Lamar Anthony. She is in the Bexar County jail; a judge set bail at $150,000, court records show.

McCormick turned a corner in the parking lot and struck a pedestrian, later identified as Anthony, running the victim over completely, police said. Instead of calling for help, McCormick briefly walked over, saw Anthony critically injured, and then fled the scene without rendering aid, investigators said…
