San Antonio cafe faces lockout over $51K in alleged unpaid rent

Wok’d Asian Fusion Cafe was just getting off the ground when MySA last checked in with the business in July. The space was originally intended to be a nightlife space for food, drinks and live entertainment, but recently, Wok’d has gone quiet as its bright yellow sign has been removed from the building.

MySA reached out to Wok’d Asian Fusion Cafe after learning that the nightclub was marked as permanently closed on Google, but the business did not immediately respond to requests for comment. We then visited the space on 6420 NW Loop 410 to see if any signs were posted to explain the cafe’s absence. Two printed sheets of paper were taped to Wok’d Asian Fusion Cafe’s front door, containing what appears to be a lockout notice from the property manager, Rose Rodriguez, addressed to Wok’d co-owner Joseph Sullivan.

“Please be advised that you are currently in default of the provisions of the above referenced lease. Your account is past due in the amount of 51,345.40 as of 9/2/2025,” the lockout notice said. “As of the date of this notice, your payment for the current month has not been received.”

At the top of the letter, the notice named Ingram Park Retail, LLC, which is also listed as the owner of the building, according to Bexar County property records.
