NEW BRAUNFELS, TX — A 58-year-old Schertz man is in custody after police say he robbed a Chase Bank branch in New Braunfels and fled with cash.
On September 10, 2025, around 12 p.m., officers with the New Braunfels Police Department responded to a robbery at the bank in the 1600 block of State Highway 46 West. Investigators said an adult white male entered the branch, handed the teller a note demanding money, and left in a vehicle with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Detectives with the Criminal Investigations Division identified a suspect within hours and obtained a warrant for his arrest. On September 11, at about 9 a.m., detectives and officers from the Street Crimes Unit executed the warrant at a residence in the 18000 block of I-35 North in Schertz.
