Like most restaurants, Chacho’s shut down dining rooms at all its San Antonio locations during the COVID-19 pandemic. Until 2024, the local Tex-Mex chain has been drive-thru only at select locations, but recent years have seen Chacho’s reopen more of its locations for dine-in, complete with their signature late-night hours.
The fourth and last of its San Antonio dining rooms have reopened after the Chacho’s on Perrin Beitel finally unlocked its doors earlier this week. MySA contacted the business, and an employee confirmed that the location is available for dine-in service from 11 a.m. to 1 a.m. daily for the time being.
Chacho’s reopened its first dining room on Highway 90 in summer 2024, and the locations on Poss Road and Callaghan Road followed suit in 2025, allowing customers to order their giant plates of nachos from the comfort of a restaurant booth. The Chacho’s on Perrin Beitel makes four, meaning that all Chacho’s locations are now fully open for drive-thru and dine-in customers.
Chacho’s has been around in San Antonio since 1988, when it was founded by John Burke, according to a previous MySA report. The restaurant chain has grown and waned over the years, with variations of the business coming and going.
