Bexar County Sheriff’s deputy arrested for allegedly beating up a family member

SAN ANTONIO – Benjamin Ramos III, a 40-year-old Bexar County Sheriff’s deputy, was arrested on Sunday afternoon for allegedly assaulting a family member.

The incident began as a verbal argument with family members over Ramos attending an event with his ex-girlfriend.

According to the victim, Ramos hit her on the neck with a closed fist, knocking her necklace to the ground, then hit her temple, causing swelling and a broken blood vessel in her eye. She said he punched her again in the face and struck her arms multiple times as she attempted to defend herself…
