San Antonio Tejano icon Ram Herrera is fighting Stage 4 prostate cancer, but the Grammy-nominated singer says he has no plans to slow down.
The 65-year-old artist announced his diagnosis Sept. 9 on Facebook, calling it a “scary situation” but noting it is treatable.
In a Facebook update, Herrera thanked fans for their prayers, writing: “Still standing, still fighting, and forever grateful. Your prayers have carried me this far, and I feel every bit of your love and support.”
Despite the diagnosis, Herrera continues to perform.
He is scheduled to take the stage Thursday, Oct. 2, at Tequila’s Night Club on Bandera Road, followed by an appearance at Prince of Peace Catholic Church’s Fall Fest on Oct. 4 and a show at Texas Country BBQ on Oct. 10…
