Beloved S.A. burger joint unveils new spot years in the making

The newest Babe’s Old Fashioned Food restaurant off of 410 and Culebra Road has been in the works for a few years, and this week, the time has finally come for the burger and chicken chain to unveil its brand-new location.

Babe’s Old Fashioned Food’s general manager, Tony J.K. Obei,d reached out to MySA on Tuesday, October 7, to share the news that the new location at 7129 NW Loop 410 has finally opened to the public. We followed up with Obeid to find out more about the new location, and we will update this story when we receive a response.

The chain recently shared the news of the opening in a post on social media with a video and a welcoming message to customers that read, “Family-owned and operated, still serving up the same comfort food classics made with love. Kids eat FREE with the purchase of an adult meal!⁠”

Babe’s Old Fashioned Food is known first and foremost for its burgers, which the local chain has been flipping since the 1980s. The menu also features chicken strips, pizzas and salads.
