Medina Valley ISD student in custody after threatening to shoot up elementary school, officials say

SAN ANTONIO — A Medina Valley ISD student is in custody after threatening to shoot up an elementary school in the overnight hours, the district said.

Oscar Vega, the principal for LaCoste Elementary along with the district sent a letter to parents explaining the incident.

According to the letter, the Medina Valley ISD Police Department received a report of a student threatening to shoot up the school. MVISD Police began investigating and worked through the night with the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office…
