Man who robbed woman at gunpoint, tried to steal her car arrested, say San Antonio police

A 31-year-old man is accused of threatening a woman with a rifle during a robbery and attempted carjacking on the North Side, according to a recently filed arrest affidavit.

Joshua Ray Vetter has been charged with aggravated robbery and evading arrest, court records show. As of Thursday morning, he was being held at the Bexar County jail with bail set at $78,000.

Around 10:23 a.m. Sept. 26, officers responded to a call of a robbery in progress in the 8000 block of North New Braunfels Avenue. The woman told police she was getting into her vehicle when a man armed with a black rifle confronted her, demanding her car keys.

In fear for her life, the woman complied, handing over her keys as the suspect pulled her from the vehicle and forced her to the ground, the affidavit states…
