MIDLAND, Texas (KMID/KPEJ)- An arrest has been made in connection with a deadly shooting that left one teen dead at a house party in late September.
According to a City spokesperson, 19-year-old Gage Ellison was arrested on October 10 in San Antonio. The official charge is still Aggravated Assault but is expected to be reclassified as “murder” at the time of his grand jury indictment.
The shooting happened around 3:22 am on September 28 in the 300 block of S Bentwood. Midland Police said that the preliminary investigation revealed a disturbance erupted in the backyard during a large party, and the victim, 18-year-old Adolfo “Isai” Gonzalez was shot one time. The teen was subsequently transported to Midland Memorial and later to Lubbock, where he died on October 6.
