SAN ANTONIO – Two San Antonio police officers are recovering after being shot by a suspect outside a West Side hotel.
The suspect, identified as 36-year-old Odon Paul Bustos from Dimmit County, was killed in the exchange. Bustos had a history of arrests on charges including terroristic threat, assault, mail theft, drug possession, and unlawfully carrying a handgun.
The incident unfolded after a 911 hang-up call was made by a woman whispering for help. Police Chief said officers were parked near the Ramada Inn Travel Lodge off Highway 90 Military Drive West when Bustos began taunting them.
