It’s finally happening, San Antonio. Trader Joe’s is opening a new location on the city’s Northwest Side on Tuesday, November 4, in the Huebner Oaks Shopping Center. The 9,600-square-foot store will be the third Trader Joe’s in San Antonio.
The California-based grocer will open the store for business at 9 a.m., following a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 8:55 a.m. at its location, 11745 Interstate 10 West near Huebner Road. Trader Joe’s revealed it hired more than 40 new crew members from surrounding areas and transferred in others from nearby stores, according to a news release on Friday, October 31.
Store Captain Hrag Kozanian and Trader Joe’s crew members will be on hand to welcome customers to their new neighborhood store. In addition, through the company’s longstanding Neighborhood Shares Program, the new San Antonio Trader Joe’s will donate 100% of products that go unsold, but remain fit to enjoy, to a range of non-profit, community-based organizations, seven days a week.
