A jury trial is set to begin for a mother accused of helping her son hide the remains of pregnant teenager Savannah Soto and her boyfriend after an apparent drug deal gone wrong.
Jury selection is scheduled to start Wednesday in the trial of Myrta Romanos, 49, according to court records. The trial will be held in the 290th District Court with Judge Jennifer Pena presiding.
Romanos and Ramon Preciado, 55, are accused of helping their son hide the remains of Soto, 18, and Matthew Guerra, 22, after what police described as a botched drug deal between the couple and their son.
