Skateboarder catches an estimated 8-pound bass along the River Walk

Longtime skateboarder Nathan Pacheco recently pulled off one of the toughest tricks off wheels — landing an estimated 8-pound bass along the River Walk near Pearl.

Not only did the 25-year-old reel in the whopper with a dislocated elbow, he said, he also hooked it on his first cast. His fishing buddy snapped a photo of him with his catch before Pacheco released it back into the San Antonio River. Pacheco caught the fish earlier this month.

“When I caught him I was like, no way, I didn’t even know they got that big out there,” Pacheco said.
