Before a jury acquitted three former officers in the 2023 Melissa Perez shooting last week, the City of San Antonio moved to keep their criminal case records from being wiped clean.
Assistant City Attorney Erika Sipiora filed three identical motions on Nov. 10, about four hours before jurors delivered their verdict just after 3 p.m. Each motion was filed in Judge Ron Rangel’s 379th District Court, where the trial took place.
