Lawmakers demand answers after task force raids San Antonio nightclub

McALLEN, Texas (Border Report) — Two Democratic Texas congressmen are demanding information on a recent raid at a San Antonio nightclub where 140 people were arrested by the new regional Homeland Security Task Force-South Texas.

U.S. Reps. Joaquin Castro and Greg Casar on Thursday sent Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem and other top Trump officials a letter asking for details of the arrest warrant, information on those arrested, and accusing the administration of refusing to provide the information.

“We demand answers regarding the raid conducted on Sunday, November 16th in the early morning hours,” they wrote in the letter. “We write out of our obligation to ensure transparency for Texans and people across the country.”
