In the wake of a Sunday night raid in which federal immigration authorities claim they detained over 150 people — allegedly including two teenage boys and a couple with a baby in their arms — local politicians are now calling for “rigorous oversight” from the Trump administration.
According to multiple reports from federal authorities, the operation took place early Sunday morning, when local and federal authorities descended on a lot in the 5000 block of San Pedro Avenue. According to a warrant from the Department of Justicereviewed by the San Antonio Express-News, the raid focused on a supposed nightclub located inside a section of a small building on the property.
