A late-night out in Stone Oak turned violent when a man was shot in the head during a disturbance inside a north-side San Antonio nightclub, authorities said. EMS crews rushed the victim to a local hospital in critical condition as San Antonio police responded to the busy nightlife corridor off Loop 1604.

San Antonio Police Department officials told KENS 5 that officers arrived to find the man with a gunshot wound to the head. He was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
Investigators said the violence started as a disturbance inside the club in the 18000 block of Tuscany Stone, near Stone Oak Parkway and Loop 1604, and escalated when a suspect pulled out a handgun and opened fire. The shooter took off before officers got there. Police searched the surrounding area but were not able to find the suspect, according to KENS 5.
