The Holiday season is in full swing. And just around every corner of unincorporated county land, there’s a stand pedaling explosives that’ll no doubt leave neighborhoods in a shroud of smoke and gunpowder. Though extreme drought conditions are leaving county leaders to ban the sale or deployment of bigger fireworks even in these more rural pockets of South Central Texas.
Every year, there’s some level of firework restriction in the greater San Antonio area. And every year, people ignore it. But folks in Bexar County could be facing a Class C misdemeanor and a fine up to $500 for breaking the rules this year come December 31.
