Nearly 40 years later, still no answers in 1987 homicide of San Antonio man

It’s been 38 years since a San Antonio man was found dead in a Brushy Creek field. Now, Williamson County officials continue to ask for any information the public may have to help solve the decades-long cold case.

The body of George Javier Gaitan, 37, was discovered on Dec. 8, 1987, in a field near FM 620 and Cornerwood Drive. Gaitan was originally from San Antonio and had reportedly traveled to the area on business.
