A 2-year-old Texas girl was found wandering the woods alone “wearing only a dress and no shoes” at 3 a.m. Friday amid frigid temperatures, leading to the arrest of her mother and grandmother.
Deputies with the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office responded to a “deeply concerning call” around 6 a.m. CST from a nearby San Antonio property owner who spotted the harrowing scene through their security camera, the sheriff’s office said in a press release.
A search ensued to find the child shortly before Haley Peoples, the child’s mother, reported to authorities at 7:20 a.m. CST that her 2-year-old daughter had left their home that earlier morning.
