A once iconic San Antonio shopping center is in the middle of a renaissance after about a decade of slumping into a place to run errands. A trendy grocery store and amped up store selection is bringing it back into the local zeitgeist, and it’s now on the forefront of a Barns & Noble comeback.
There’s been a lot of excitement around what’s happening at the Huebner Oaks shopping center (maybe a mall? Depending on who you ask). Trader Joe’s is drawing crowds looking for quirky snacks and swanky produce, new eateries are rebuilding the food scene in the area and more and more big name brands are inking deals to open up.
One of those brands is Barnes & Noble – a company that was hit hard by the e-commerce boom from the likes of Amazon over the past decade or so. But the big box book seller, much like Huebner Oaks, is in the middle of a comeback…
