SAN ANTONIO, TX - A narcotics investigation by the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office led to a major drug and weapons seizure and the arrest of a local man following a brief pursuit earlier this month.
On December 12, 2025, deputies executed a search warrant in the 5600 block of Butch Canyon as part of an ongoing investigation into suspected drug trafficking. While working the case, deputies attempted to stop a vehicle driven by Mikal Mireles near U.S. Highway 90 and Hunt Lane. Mireles refused to stop, leading deputies on a pursuit through the area.
The pursuit came to an end at the intersection of State Highway 151 and Hunt Lane when Mireles failed to yield and crashed into another vehicle. After the collision, he exited his truck and tried to run but was quickly taken into custody without further incident…
