City Council is expected to vote sometime in January whether to acquire federal land at Hemisfair to facilitate the Project Marvel development, a city official told the San Antonio Business Journal last week.
The city’s Planning Commission on Wednesday unanimously voted to bring the potential purchase of the government-owned 6-acre parcel to a vote by council. The land, targeted under the Trump administration budget cuts, includes an office building at 727 E. Cesar Chávez Blvd. and two parking lots on Indianola Street.
