Christmas Celebration Turns Violent in San Antonio with Stabbing and Assault

A Christmas gathering was marred by violence in San Antonio’s northeast side, where a dispute between neighbors escalated into a stabbing incident. According to Fox San Antonio, the altercation happened at around 1:20 a.m. near Castle Hunt Drive and Castle Cross Drive, where a family had been enjoying Christmas in their front yard.

The situation deteriorated after a local man walked by the family’s gathering. The father of the family, for reasons not entirely clear, took umbrage and reportedly punched the man. The man subsequently walked away, only to rapidly return minutes later with a group. This cohort allegedly initiated an assault on the family, stabbing the father in the chest and hitting the son across his forehead with a baseball bat, before they fled the scene.

The outcome of this encounter resulted in two members of the family needing medical attention. The father, with a stab wound, was transported to Brooke Army Medical Center; his condition was described as critical. The son received treatment for a gash and swelling on his forehead, and is reported to be in stable condition.
