The stories that fill the bookshelves of Dale Eckman’s study come in all sorts of geeky shapes and sizes.
There are “Star Wars” action figures, including ones of Chewbacca and R2-D2 signed by the stars who played them, the late Peter Mayhew and Kenny Baker. “Star Trek” novels line another shelf, while nearby sits a model of Mr. Spock aiming his phaser at an emerging three-headed snake. Funko Pops! figures run the gamut from Disney’s Peter Pan to a likeness of “Hellraiser’s” Pinhead signed by actor Doug Bradley.
And throughout the room lurk several depictions of the Creature from the Black Lagoon, Eckman’s favorite of the memorable Universal Monsters…
