Massive multimillion-dollar retail developments underway in San Antonio

San Antonio shoppers will have several new places to shop in 2026. The year will be marked by over a dozen store completions, which will be just itching to welcome in first-time customers.

Alongside these developments, there are also a few big-name tenants that will begin undergoing construction amid a Texas expansion. Here’s what residents can expect to see pop up near their neighborhoods over the next few months.

H-E-B

Folks will want to grab their tote bags and clear out their vehicle trunks before H-E-B’s forthcoming grand opening on the Far Westside. Located at  15489 Culebra Road, near State Highway 211, it’s set to host its first day of operation on Wednesday, January 7, at 6 a.m.

The store will include an H-E-B fuel and carwash, a drive-thru pharmacy, curbside pickup, and a True Texas BBQ restaurant, according to the company’s website.

Target

After roughly a decade, the Alamo City will finally welcome a new Target. Online records cite that it will take up over 148,000 square feet at the southwest corner intersection of Marbach Road and Loop 1604. This makes it larger than the average-sized Target, estimated at 125,000 square feet, the company’s website states…
