San Antonio-born actor Ricardo Chavira, who graduated from the University of the Incarnate Word before his television career took off, is headed to the Broadway stage this year.
Chavira has joined the cast of the upcoming world premiere Broadway production of David Lindsay-Abaire’s “The Balusters,” entertainment industry news website Deadline reports.
The play is described as “a raucous, wild ride through a small community with big feelings,” according to Deadline, and centers on a “neighbor-versus-neighbor battle royale.” The production also stars Tony Award winner Renée Elise Goldsberry (“Hamilton”) and Emmy Award winner Richard Thomas, of “The Waltons” fame.
