Cruising Kitchens LLC, the long-troubled San Antonio-based custom food truck and trailer maker, has sought bankruptcy protection after its landlord locked it out of the business on Christmas Eve.
The company, which listed $3.4 million in assets and about $14.7 million in liabilities in Friday’s petition, has filed an emergency motion with the bankruptcy court seeking an order allowing it to return to its leased property at 702 and 802 San Fernando St. on the West Side. A hearing on the request has been set for 9:30 a.m. Tuesday before U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Michael Parker.
