More abandoned cars towed from airport garages, city tries to recover parking fees

More abandoned vehicles have been towed out of the San Antonio airport’s garages. The News 4 I-Team first exposed how abandoned cars had been taking up parking spaces for up to two years.

Now the airport is stuck with them and as the I-Team’s Jaie Avila reports taxpayers could end up taking a big loss.

About 40 abandoned cars now sit behind this locked fence at the airport because airport officials haven’t been able to get them permanently removed and auctioned off. They want the proceeds from the auction to help cover years of parking fees that weren’t paid…
