Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth apparently spent Monday morning in San Antonio before a tour of manufacturing facilities in Texas including Elon Musk’s SpaceX Starbase and a Lockheed Martin plant in Fort Worth.
The blue-and-white Air Force jet Hegseth’s traveling on arrived at Kelly Field about 8:30 a.m. and left for North Texas about 11 a.m.
The Defense Department didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment about his visit to Military City USA, which is home to Joint Base San Antonio and various military headquarters that employ about 86,000 people. More than 250,000 military retirees also live in the area…
