‘Landman’ star Paulina Chávez pays heartfelt homage to San Antonio roots

One of the stars of Taylor Sheridan’s widely popular TV show, Landman, made a quiet appearance in San Antonio while doing community outreach in her hometown.

Native Texan Paulina Chávez, who plays Ariana Medina, recently lent a helping hand at the San Antonio Food Bank, according to a Monday, January 12 Facebook post. Photos from her visit show the actor helping pack sandwiches and laughing with other volunteers.

“We’re sending a big thank you to actress Paulina Chavez from Landman for rolling up her sleeves and volunteering at our Community Kitchen at Haven for Hope!” the San Antonio Food Bank post reads. “Paulina joined our Hunger Fighters in helping nourish neighbors with dignity, care, and compassion. When our community comes together like this, hope is always on the menu. Thank you, Paulina, for standing with our neighbors and helping fight hunger across Southwest Texas.”

A spokesperson for the food bank told MySA in an email that Chávez actually volunteered on December 29, 2025. According to the spokesperson, it was her first time volunteering with the San Antonio Food Bank.
