Afternoon commuters should look for an alternate route if their way home involves getting on Highway 281 in San Antonio, as a major crash along the busy highway is causing extreme traffic delays.
An accident reported at 4:02 p.m. on Wednesday, January 14, has caused the left three lanes of northbound 281 at Bitters Road to be blocked off, according to SigAlert. As of 5 p.m., traffic is still backed up to Basse Road, and drivers can expect delays of up to two hours. SigAlert reports that traffic speeds in the area are stop-and-go, moving anywhere from just 1 mph to 13 at the fastest.
