A small handful of San Antonio IHOPs have already been converted to combination Applebee’s/IHOP locations in the last year, and it seems that another one is on its way to the area. A recent filing points to a San Antonio-area IHOP in Selma as the next location to get the Applebee’s treatment.
A project details page registered with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation provided key pieces of info about the new Applebee’s/IHOP, which will see the existing IHOP located at 8107 Agora Parkway converted into the dual concept. The filing states that construction on the project will take place between March 20, 2026, and July 28, 2026, with an estimated cost of $300,000. However, details on filings are subject to change without notice.
The first Applebee’s/IHOP opened in Seguin in February 2025, and soon after, the combo restaurants began finding their way into San Antonio, with locations on North Loop 1604, I-10, Marbach and Broadway. Though the new location in Selma is technically outside of the city limits, it’s still within Bexar County, based on its address.
