If you happen to see a camera crew walking through the aisles of a San Antonio H-E-B someday soon, chances are you’ll be stumbling on the filming of a music video for one local rapper’s viral H-E-B-inspired track.
Rapper Lil Lucky, a San Antonio native hailing from the Southside, teased an upcoming video in a recent Instagram post. In it, he walks backwards through the aisles at the Nogalitos store as his song plays, donning an official H-E-B partner T-shirt he told MySA a manager gave him. He said while plans for an official video are still in the works with the grocery chain, “there’s a lot of hype from the employee side.”

He said his vision for the video is family-friendly, and he’s “not trying to do, like, a rap video” — it’ll just be him walking through the store, rapping about the average grocery run. But two things are certain: he wants the H-E-Buddy mascot and the giant H-E-B cart that folks have spotted rolling around Texas. Lil Lucky also said his ideal filming location isn’t the Las Palmas store he shot an initial viral video at, and it isn’t the Nogalitos store where he filmed the teaser. Instead, he wants to shoot the official music video at the new College Park location near the University of Texas at San Antonio…
