San Antonio, Texas – A noticeable cooldown is expected to reach South Texas late this week, bringing chilly nights and near-freezing temperatures to the San Antonio area as a broader cold pattern settles across the region. While a hard freeze is not expected, overnight lows are forecast to dip to around 34 degrees, enough to impact sensitive plants and early morning travel.

According to the National Weather Service, colder air pushing south into Texas from Saturday through early next week will bring several nights of below-normal temperatures. Daytime conditions will remain dry, but clear skies at night will allow temperatures to fall quickly into the mid-30s, especially in outlying and low-lying areas…
