Savanah Soto slaying: Defense wants murder trial delayed till March to await DNA testing

The trial for Christopher Preciado, the 21-year-old accused of killing pregnant teenager Savanah Soto and her boyfriend, Matthew Guerra, is being rescheduled for March.

Jury selection originally was scheduled to begin Feb. 2 in the 290th District Court; however, Monica Guerrero, Preciado’s attorney, told the San Antonio Express-News that she planned to file a motion for continuance Friday, pushing the trial to March 16.
