The San Antonio viewers didn’t see on nation’s No. 1 morning show

San Antonio is one of the largest cities in Texas (and in the country), and one of its most popular tourist spots at that. So why didn’t the Alamo City make the cut for the No. 1 morning show on the nation’s visit to the Lone Star State?

Since July 2025, Good Morning America — the most-viewed morning show in the country — has been visiting a different state each week. Traveling in the order they joined the United States, the tour culminates July 4 in celebration of America’s 250th birthday. This week, the show has been tackling Texas, but its choice of travel stops is a bit of an eyebrow-raiser: one visit to Arlington, two in the Houston area and wrapping up near El Paso in Big Bend National Park.
