Thousands without power in San Antonio amid freezing temperatures

Power outages and road closures were reported Sunday morning in San Antonio as temperatures remained below freezing.

About 2,800 people across the San Antonio metro area were affected by 39 reported service outages at about 10 a.m. Most of the outages were reported in the northern part of the city, according to CPS Energy.

The number of people affected and outages steadily declined throughout the morning, as crews worked to restore service. About 8,000 people across San Antonio were without power around 7 a.m., when roughly 60 outages were reported…
