San Antonio police are searching for a hit-and-run driver after a 49-year-old woman was struck and killed early Sunday while crossing Culebra Road. The crash happened around 12:25 a.m. near Culebra Road and Esmeralda Drive; officers say the woman was walking outside a marked crosswalk when a vehicle hit her. The driver kept going, and the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to the San Antonio Police Department, as reported by News4SanAntonio, investigators believe the suspect was driving a light-colored truck. If that driver is found, police say they will seek a charge of “Collision Involving Death.” Officials have publicly identified the victim only by her age.
