San Antonio fugitive sought after alleged drug test tampering

SAN ANTONIO – The U.S. Marshals are asking for the public’s help in locating Charles Ortiz.

Ortiz previously served 120 months in prison for his role in a conspiracy to distribute and possess heroin. After completing his sentence, he was placed on supervised release for an additional eight years.

Deputies said Ortiz allegedly violated the terms of his release by using cocaine and admitting to that use. He is also accused of attempting to falsify a required drug test by submitting an unknown liquid instead of a urine sample. Federal authorities charged him with tampering with a drug test…
