San Antonio mall comeback continues to build momentum with new bookstore

Book lovers in San Antonio will soon have another spot to roam while on the hunt for their new favorite story. A popular retailer is bringing its bustling novel selection, stationary and reading accessories to the Northwest side.

Barnes & Noble is gearing up to open its seventh location in the city, according to two recently filed Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) reports. It’s set to deliver more options to the Huntingplace and Woodridge neighborhoods — a part of town that lacks a standalone shop. The market’s nearest location is at The Shops at La Cantera.

“We are thrilled to open a new store at Huebner Oaks in San Antonio,” a Barnes & Noble spokesperson told MySA. “Bookstores are essential to communities.  They are a place to gather, share ideas; a place to learn and a place to escape.”…
